Tuesday night Republican Senator Joni Ernst was given a chance to speak for fed-up Americans in her response to Obama’s State of the Union address. But she blew it.
Sugar-coating the mess we’re in with folksy anecdotes about her childhood might be okay if this was the era of Ronald Reagan, but Rome is burning.
Ernst has to know Americans are sick of voting in politicians who wimp out in DC after acting like Joan of Arc on the campaign trail.
Ernst received national attention in June for calling Obama a “dictator” and for suggesting John Boehner start impeachment proceedings. When she won her Senate seat, she promised to make the Dems and RINO’s “squeal” in Washington.
So what happened to candidate’s fiery rhetoric on Tuesday night? Instead of nailing Obama Ernst said, “We appreciate the President sharing his [views]” and later, “we’ll work to correct executive overreach.”
No, we do not appreciate the President’s views.
We do not appreciate Obama stealing our freedoms and tax refunds at the same time.
We do not appreciate a corrupt tax cheat like Al Sharpton picking the next Attorney General.
We do not appreciate a Muslim sympathizer in the White House.
We do not appreciate a President of the United States pulling a a no-show in Paris after a terrorist attack.
We do not appreciate the Obama family spending hundreds of millions of our taxpayer money on vacations all over the world.
We do not appreciate Obama spreading the lie that our economy is on the upswing. If the economy is rebounding why can’t 20 and 30-somethings afford an apartment without working 3 jobs?
If Ernst wanted to make an effective rebuttal, she should have had a few mad-as-hell young people at her side who got suckered by Obama in 2008.
We do not appreciate Obama’s war on police and his defense of thugs.
We do not appreciate funding free phones, free housing, free food and free healthcare for baby mamas and their latest sex partners.
We do not appreciate his leftist propaganda press cohorts like Rolling Stone Magazine featuring a rock star looking Islamic murderer on its cover. The Muslim terrorist killed, among others, an 8 year-old boy at the Boston marathon, blinded his mother, left his sister with one leg and traumatized his little brother for life.
We do not appreciate Muslim Brotherhood radicals parading in and out of the White House.
We do not appreciate one of his Obamacare architects calling us “stupid” in order to pull off the biggest scam ever perpetrated on the American people.
Did Senator Ernst just forget to mention all of this or did she forget what she came to DC to do?
